Focus

During the last decade many research groups have been studying differences among coagulase-negative staphylococcal species within the heterogeneous CNS group. The major aim of this 2nd seminar on coagulase-negative staphylococci is to share and discuss new insights and recent research findings on CNS in bovine udder health, CNS in relation to meat processing and CNS causing disease in humans as a follow-up to the 1st seminar on coagulase-negative staphylococci organized in 2010. During this scientific seminar, international experts will give summarizing keynote presentations on these topics, yet we also offer researchers working in the field of both bovine and human CNS the opportunity to present their findings during short oral presentations and discuss their hypotheses and research questions with the attendees.

Before the seminar, an interactive workshop is organized focusing on the latest and newest developments concerning identification of CNS species using MALDI-TOF MS, gene sequencing, and whole genome sequencing.

We are looking forward to meeting you in Gent soon!
